On-site expertise for propulsion and onboard machinery

Mechanical

Mechanical maintenance can range from servicing a pump to overhauling an engine or dismantling propulsion equipment.

Martinique Shipyard provides diagnostics, maintenance, repairs and overhauls for marine mechanical equipment and propulsion systems. Our 750 m² mechanical workshop is located directly within the shipyard, allowing our teams to coordinate work on the vessel with equipment servicing ashore.

For engine works requiring specialist expertise, Martinique Shipyard works with Sud Moteurs, coordinating their intervention within the vessel’s overall maintenance schedule.

A mechanical workshop within the shipyard

Once dismantled, mechanical equipment can be brought into our 750 m² workshop for inspection and servicing before being reassembled and reinstalled on board.

Having the vessel, workshop and technical teams on the same site helps coordinate these successive operations, supported by the yard’s lifting and handling resources.

Our 200 m dry dock and 350 m of quay provide access for mechanical works both below the waterline and on board.

Mechanical work coordinated with your technical stop

Mechanical repairs often involve other trades. Removing or reinstalling equipment may also require electrical connections, hydraulic circuits, piping or work on the surrounding structure.

A dedicated project manager coordinates these operations with the crew, yard teams and specialist companies, integrating the different tasks into a shared schedule.

Works can be organised as part of scheduled maintenance, a refit or repairs following an unexpected failure.
