Onboard diagnostics, repairs and maintenance
Electrical
An electrical fault can affect a pump, an auxiliary system or equipment needed for daily operations. Identifying its source means understanding both the electrical installation and the equipment it serves.
Martinique Shipyard provides diagnostics, maintenance and repairs for onboard electrical installations, during scheduled technical stops or corrective interventions. Our teams work on board and coordinate with other trades and specialist companies when the scope requires additional expertise.
Our capabilities
Our teams and specialist partners can provide:
• Electrical fault finding and diagnostics
• Insulation resistance testing
• Maintenance and repair of electrical installations
• Electrical works associated with mechanical systems and auxiliary equipment
• Technical assistance and coordination with specialist companies
Works can be carried out in our 200 m dry dock or afloat alongside the quay, depending on the vessel’s requirements.
Connected Systems. Coordinated works
On board, electrical installations are closely linked to mechanical and hydraulic systems. An intervention on one piece of equipment may therefore require several trades, from disconnection and dismantling to reconnection and testing.
When the work involves several technical disciplines, a dedicated project manager coordinates the yard teams, crew and specialist companies.
Diagnostics and successive operations are integrated into a shared schedule, helping organise the work and minimise vessel downtime.
Scheduled maintenance or fault finding
Electrical works can be planned as part of a maintenance stop or refit, alongside other repairs and equipment servicing.
Our teams can also investigate electrical faults while a vessel is alongside, assessing the issue and organising the intervention according to the findings.
Need electrical diagnostics or maintenance?
Send us your scope of work, details of the equipment concerned and any available drawings or information about the fault.
Our team will review your requirements and identify the expertise needed for the intervention.
