Our capabilities
Our teams and specialist partners provide:
• Hull and structural repairs
• Steel plate renewal and replacement
• Cutting, preparation and welding of inserts
• Repair and reconstruction of structural stiffeners
• Structural reinforcement and modifications
• Steel fabrication and welding
• Custom fabrication of parts and structural elements
• Repairs to areas affected by corrosion
• Non-destructive testing (NDT), through approved specialist companies
• Repair works associated with class inspections and surveys
Works can be carried out in our 200 m dry dock or afloat alongside the quay, depending on the location and nature of the repair.
From inspection to completed repair
Replacing a section of hull plating involves more than cutting and welding. The affected area must be assessed, access prepared and the replacement fitted into the existing structure. Inspection and coating works also need to be planned around the repair.
A dedicated project manager coordinates the structural works with any mechanical, piping or equipment interventions required.
This coordination brings the successive operations into a shared schedule, from preparation and steelwork to the inspections and protective coatings included in the scope.
Desal Project
Structural repairs on an offshore barge
The offshore barge Desal was welcomed at Martinique Shipyard for a maintenance and repair program including significant structural works.
Areas affected by corrosion underwent steel plate renewal, installation of welded inserts and reconstruction of structural reinforcements.
These repairs were carried out alongside other works on the vessel, including surface treatment and recoating of 2,300 m² of underwater areas.
